Polyethylene (PE) Spiral Structured Wall Pipe (Type B) is a premium flexible piping system manufactured from high-density polyethylene (HDPE) raw materials. The pipe is fabricated using an advanced hot-state spiral winding process and sequentially cooled via an engineered rolling-air cooling method prior to demolding.
Structurally, it features an ultra-smooth interior surface complemented by a spirally wound, profiled reinforcing rib on the exterior, all integrated into a unified structure through continuous helical winding.
HDPE Spiral Wound Reinforced Pipes utilize an integrated socket-and-spigot electrofusion jointing mechanism. During production, the two ends of the pipe are precision-profiled into a socket (bell) and a spigot, with high-efficiency electrical-resistance fusion wires permanently embedded into the socket end.
On-site jointing is exceptionally straightforward—requiring only a standard power source connectivity to complete a homogeneous fusion weld at a molecular level, resulting in a 100% leak-free pipeline network.
This product is widely deployed in municipal drainage and sewerage, electrical ducting, petrochemical networks, coal mine ventilation, and other demanding infrastructure sectors. Serving as an ideal substitute for traditional reinforced concrete and cast iron pipes, it represents a rapidly advancing innovation in underground buried drainage and has been officially designated as a Top-Priority Promoted Product by the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development.
Common Alias: Krah Pipe
The pipe is manufactured by spiral winding on a preheated integral steel drum mold. The finished pipe has a smooth and even inner surface, while the outer surface features spiral "O"-shaped ribs. Inside the "O"-shaped ribs, hollow supporting tubes made of polyolefin materials (generally polypropylene) shall be embedded as auxiliary supports.
The socket and spigot connection of the pipe shall be formed in one continuous winding process and shall not be secondarily welded.
- di — Inner diameter
- ec — Structural height
- e4 — Inner wall thickness
- 1 — "O"-shaped auxiliary supporting hollow tube
Note: The hollow tubes within the e4 section may consist of multiple layers.
